Fees and Payments

What are the fees to join Copart? 

There are two kind of membership:

- Basic Membership: 25,65€ + VAT

- Premium Membership: 51,30€ + VAT

*These are annual fees. 

Do I pay my maximum bid amount when awarded a vehicle?
For preliminary bidders, the maximum bid amount may not be what you pay. If you are the high bidder during the virtual sale and the virtual bids do not meet or exceed your maximum bid, you are awarded the vehicle for the high bid amount. For example, if your maximum bid is €2000 and the virtual sale stops at €1400 with you as the high bidder, you get the vehicle for €1400.

If I win a lot, how long do I have before payment is due?
Payment becomes due immediately after the sale. You have three business days including the sale day to settle the account before Copart charges a late payment fee. Please see the table below for more details or send an email to atencion.compradores@copart.es 

 
If I win a lot, how many days do I have before late removal fees are charged?
You have 5 business days of free storage including Sale Confirmation Date. From the fifth business day you will be charged late removal fees daily. Please see below for current fees or send an email to atencion.compradores@copart.es.
 

The amount of the bid during the auction is with VAT included or without VAT included?

The amount of the bid during the auction is WITHOUT VAT.

What amount for the lot will I be billed if I win the lot?

The amount that is billed for the lot will depend on the type of VAT that appears in the detail of the lot and of the fiscal address of the member. 

For members with fiscal address in Spain:

If VAT rate is NO, the amount that will be invoiced for the lot will be the amount entered during the auction. If VAT is YES, the amount that will be invoiced will be the result of adding 21% (VAT) to the amount entered in the auction.

For members with fiscal address outside of Spain:

The amount that will be invoiced for the lot will be always the amount introduced during the auction.

What are member auction fees?

The following fees will always be invoiced per lot, plus the corresponding VAT:

• Member fees, according to the table Buyer fees.
• Lot retrieval fee: 30.78€ 
• Internet Bid fees, according to the table Virtual bid fee.
• Document fees, according to the table Expenses for title transfer and management of documentation.

In the tables below, you can see a listing of all member fees that can be invoiced by different concepts.

*This additional fee will be applicable if your highest bid was given through our website www.copart.es during our live online auction; It will not be charged as an Internet bid fee, if the vehicle is won through a pre-bid.

What methods of payment are accepted?
Copart Autos España offers a number of ways for you to pay. 

• Payment by International Bank Transfer (IBAN)
• Payment by Credit Card (Membership and Renewal fees only)
